Mongolian Naadam is a unique form of intangible cultural heritage created and preserved by the Mongolian people, and a proud celebration for Mongolians living throughout the world.

The Mongolian community in the greater Chicago area has celebrated the National Naadam Festival with great ceremony and tradition for many years. It has grown to become one of the largest Mongolian Naadam festivals held in the United States and is now an annual event eagerly anticipated not only by Mongolians in the Chicago area, but also by Mongolian communities from other cities and by our international friends.

A working group consisting of representatives from nonprofit organizations, artists, and the Consulate in the Chicago area has been established to organize Chicago Mongol Naadam 2026, and preparations are currently underway.
